Charles "Poodle" H. Jessup, Jr.

Charles “Poodle” Jessup, Jr., of Pleasant Hill, NC, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, June 28, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Charles “Charlie” Jessup, Sr. and Edith Wray Jessup. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rose Ann “Angel” Jessup; sister, Rose Jessup Fisher (Maitland); and brother Daniel, “Danny” Jessup. 

He is survived by two sons, Charles “Beaver” Jessup (Brenda Jean) and Michael “Mikie: Jessup; daughter, Brandy Elizabeth Jessup (Timmy); stepson, David Faughnan; five grandchildren, Alexis Gabriela Jessup, Eric Wayne Cifers (Hazel), Robert Michael Jessup, Chelsea Marie Jessup (Megan), and Braiden Jessup; three great-grandchildren, Harper Jessup, and Bently and Aaliyah Cifers; two sisters, Frances “Kay” Jessup Lewis (H.G.) and Priscilla “Penny” Narron (Mack); special brother, William “Billy” Houchins (Judy); sister-in-law, Donna Jessup; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024, in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, VA 23805. Arrangements are by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes.
