Charles Richard Watson, 88, of N. Prince George, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Charles was a member of Westover Episcopal Church in Charles City. He was a retired attorney and was the Commonwealth Attorney for Chesterfield county for 11 years. After that he became a criminal defense attorney in the Colonial Heights area. Charles was also a retired CW02 from the United States Navy. He was a Navy Seal and received a national defense service medal with a Bronze Star. Charles was a member of the UDT/ Seal Association for current and former seals. He was a former member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and was a current member of the Prince George Masonic Lodge #115 AF & AM. Charles is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Frances McGee Watson; brother, Donald Watson of Shelby, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. His remains will rest at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2019.
