Charles Wells Jr.

Charles N. Wells Jr., 81, of Dinwiddie, passed away September 5, 2017 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was born December 20, 1935 to the late Charles N. Wells Sr., and Sally Ruth Owen Wells. Mr. Wells retried from Seward Luggage Customer Service after 42 years of service. He was a longtime member of Life Church Assembly of God in Colonial Heights, and was the treasurer for seven years at First Assembly of God Church in Dinwiddie. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Walker Wells; son, Charles David Wells and wife Laurie of Sutherland; daughter, Valerie W. Daugherity and husband, Dell of Chesterfield; grandchildren, Sara Becker and husband, Matthew, Heather Hunter and husband, Adam, Kristi Ellsworth and husband, Rory, Adam Daugherity and wife, Laura, great-grandchildren Chase, Kellan, Evelyn, Keira, Benjamin, Addyson, Rowan; sister, Shirley W. Williams of Dinwiddie; niece, Pamela E. Williams; and nephew, Kenneth A. Williams. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2017 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with the Reverend Scott Tischler officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, Virginia 23834. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
