Cheryle Dean Vaughan, 70, of Prince George, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the Medical College of Virginia. She was born September 26, 1943 to the late Angelos W. and Ruth Palmer Stamos and was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin J. Vaughan Jr. and her brother Nick Stamos. Ms. Vaughan was a former employee of the Davis Restaurant in Stony Creek, the Red Bull Restaurant in Prince George and also worked part time at the City of Petersburg Jail. In her early years, she loved to dance and spend time at Lake Chesdin. She also loved reading on her Kindle. She is survived by her daughter Angela J. Hoffman and husband Pete Hoffman of Sutherland; son John T. Brown of Prince George; grandson, Zachary L. Hoffman, of Sutherland; two sisters, Rebecca Ann Talley of Dinwiddie, and Patti Jean Jung of Prince George and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard.
