Chester Epley

Chester "Chet" A. Epley, 70, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Sunday March 8, 2009 at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. He was the son of the late Frank and Dora Epley. Mr. Epley was retired from the United States Navy, and was a civil service employee at Dam Neck Naval Base. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Epley of Lawrenceville; daughters, Tammie A. Rawls and husband, Mike of Prince George, and Dora "Elaine" Jenkins of Rawlings; a son, David A. Epley of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Michael Rawls Jr., Kelsey Jenkins, and Jeffrey Jenkins; one great-grandchild, Cody Smith; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Wachsmann and husband, Donald of Smithfield. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
