Chiquita L. Edmonds, 59, of Colonial Heights went to be with her Lord, passing from this life to everlasting on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was born October 26, 1957 in Blackstone, Virginia. Chiquita was preceded in death by her Dad and Mother, Morris and Virginia L. Wilkins and her father, Melvin B. Tuck. She was a Nashville Recording Artist, Singer, Mom and Truck Driver. She is survived by her son, Brandon A. Matthews; daughter, Jessica R. Matthews. A special thanks to her best friend, Leanne Bolton and her family, Bonnie and Henry, for being the family she and her children needed. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with Evangelist Toni Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, South Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends Thursday night, April 27, 2017 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
