Christine Meade

Christine Joyner "Chris" Meade, 95 of South Chesterfield, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Born on July 17, 1923 in Farmville, North Carolina she was preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend James C. Meade and a grandson, Aaron Timothy Meade. Ms. Chris was a member of First Baptist Church, Petersburg, and a hostess for Chick-fil-A in Chester for many years. She is survived by three sons, Dr. Raymond L. Meade (Shirley), W. Timothy Meade (Jean) and Robert S. Meade; a daughter, Dr. Joy Meade; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis L. Joyner and Bobby E. Joyner (Gail); and numerous nieces & nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2018 at First Baptist Church, 235 West Washington Street, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 with the Reverend Robert Dawson and Mr. Jason Branch officiating. Committal services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Endowment Fund at First Baptist Church. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
