Christopher Matthew Hawkins, 25, of Disputanta, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Born in Hopewell, on July 20, 1993, he was preceded in death by his father, Matthew Hawkins; maternal grandfather, Harry Meadows; uncle, Mark Hawkins; cousin, JD Staley.
Christopher loved Marvel movies, especially Captain America, and his favorite was Guardians of The Galaxy. He loved spending time with his paw paw, Harry Meadows, they would hang out in his garage and work on cars together. He had a lot of respect for his Uncle Rick who he dearly loved who taught him so much about carpentry. He also liked watching cooking shows on TV and was a good cook himself. He loved driving sports cars a lot and he loved his dog, Dino. He is survived by his mother, Crystal Milam; sister, Casey Hawkins; step-father, Eddie Milam; sister, Kaitlyn Pegram; brother, Scottie Milam; paternal grandparents, Jane and Frank Hawkins; maternal grandmother, Shirley Meadows; aunt and uncle, Shelly and Rick Heurmann, uncle, Mike Hawkins; aunt, Sherry Meadows; and cousins, Tara Airhart, Adam Hawkins, Andrew Hawkins, Chelsea Hamrick, and Daniel Thorne.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2018 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with Pastor Roger Dean officiating. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Cut Banks Baptist Church Cemetery, 24203 Cut Bank Road, McKenney, Virginia 23872. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
