Christy Johnson

Christy C. Johnson, 40, of Dinwiddie County, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at MCV Medical Center. Christy attended Matoaca Methodist Church, and was a member of the Tau Rho Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society of John Tyler Community College. She is survived by her husband, Mark A. Johnson; a son, Richard Curtis Phillips II; a daughter, Ashley Marie Phillips; a step-daughter, Emily Johnson all of Dinwiddie; a step-son, Andrew Johnson of DeWitt; parents, Gary L. and Margaret T. Connelly of Colonial Heights; a brother, Gregory Connelly and Stephanie Payne of Chesterfield; a half sister, Jackie Farrar and husband, Jeff of Louisiana; a half brother, Gary Fink and wife, Robin of Maryland; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins; best friend, Stephanie Connelly of Chesterfield. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
