Claire Guerin

Claire Poitras Guerin, 78, of Colonial Heights, died April 21, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Antoinette Boulanger Poitras. Mrs. Guerin was a retired Director of Nursing Services at Southside Regional Medical Center Petersburg and at the former Stuart Circle Hospital in Richmond. She was a very active member of St. Ann Catholic Church, a member of the Martha's Hospitality at the church, .a member of The Catholic Daughters of America and a member of the Alter and Arts club. She was a volunteer with Crater Community Hospice for nine years. Mrs. Guerin is survived by her husband Lloyd E. Guerin; two sons, Mark A. Guerin and wife Nancy of Spotsylvania, Kenneth Guerin and wife Carole of Midlothian. Five grandchildren, Matthew, Daniele, Carolyn, Allison and Jessica. One sister, Irene P. Lantry of Lunenburg, MA. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights with Fr. Lou Ruoff as Celebrant.
