Clara Worrell

Clara Lou Worrell, 87, of Colonial Heights passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022. Born September 27, 1934,  she was the daughter of the late Armigi and Adel Prince and, was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, William Ellis Worrell, Jr.; two brothers; and five sisters.

Clara was a longtime member of Life Church in Chester, Virginia. After 34 years of dedicated service, she retired as a beaming operator from Honeywell, formerly Allied Chemical. She was a homebody and lived a simple life, spending a lot of her time outside, tending to her yard. She cherished the time she got to spend with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children, Linda Worrell Moore and husband, Danny, Donna Louise Worrell, William Ellis Worrell III and wife, Teresa L. Harrison, Greg Scott Worrell and wife, Annette; five grandchildren, Jamie Collins, Steve Worrell and wife, Michelle, Taylor Davis and husband, Blake, Parker Worrell and wife, Audri, Logan Worrell and wife, Laura; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Mildred Brady, Betty Hathaway, Howard Prince and wife, Star, Joan Wooten; and other extended family members.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Life Church, 16801 Harrowgate Rd, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. Interment will be private.
