Clarence Howard "Sparky" Faber Sr., 85, of Colonial Heights passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Chesterfield County, he was the son of the late Henry J and Mabel Bowles Faber. Mr. Faber was a United States Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean War, a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and a retired Director with the Quartermaster School, Fort Lee. Mr. Faber had an extensive career teaching and instructing officials all over the world. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was extremely supportive of his grandchildren in all of their endeavors, regardless of their nature. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Ann Moore Faber; his children, Clarence Howard Faber Jr. and wife, Donna, Valerie Faber Duncan and husband, Dennis and Darrell Steven Faber Sr. and wife, Wanda all of Chesterfield; his beloved grandchildren, Morgan Faber, Christian Faber, Patricia Megan Faber, Darrell Steven Faber Jr., Joshua Duncan and wife, Ginny and Hillary Duncan; and a sister, Louise Pellerito of Colonial Heights. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the funeral home.
