Clement Diffee

Clement Lewis Diffee, 80, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. He was born January 27, 1935 in Montgomery County, North Carolina, but grew up in Burlington, North Carolina, where he was a member of the 2nd graduating class of Walter M. Williams High School. He graduated from the University of Richmond and was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. Mr. Diffee served in the United States Army. Initially stationed in North Carolina, he completed his service at Fort Lee, Virginia. He married Elizabeth "Betsy" Ross Greene on June 7, 1958 and remained married for nearly 50 years until her passing on October 2, 2006. Clement retired from The Prudential Insurance Company after 50 years. He is survived by his three sons, Darryl, Craig and Derrick who grew up in Dinwiddie, Virginia; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, whom he adored. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in Southlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends following the service at the Country Club of Petersburg.
