Clinton Stell Sr.

Clinton Avery Stell Sr., 85, of Chesterfield, died Monday, December 20, 2010 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Stell, his mother, Josephine Stell and step-mother, Sallie Jones Stell. He was born on June 30, 1925 in Dinwiddie County. He served in the U.S Navy and was a retired shop machinist at Allied Signal. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Bernett R. Stell; a son, Clinton Avery Stell Jr. and wife, Brenda B. Stell; a daughter, Rosa S. Cole and husband, Harper C. Cole; four grandchildren, Amy Cole Siefferman, Harper Brandon Cole and wife, Crystal, Angela S. Stoher and husband, Glen, and Clinton Avery Stell III and wife, Natasha; four great-grandchildren, Cody Glen Stoher, Ryan Avery Stoher, Sean Caleb Cook, and Harper Avery Siefferman. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 24, 2010 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with the Reverend Jo Ellen Hetherington officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
