Clyde Bennett

Clyde Franklin Bennett, 72, of Chesterfield, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018. He is preceded in death by his father, George Bennett; a sister, Jean Bennett; and a granddaughter, Jacqueline Nunnally. Mr. Bennett was a United States Airforce Veteran and retired from Hercules Inc. He was long time member of Swift Creek Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife, Jewel Johnson Bennett; three children, Sheila Nunnally and husband, Jack, Troy Bennett, and Brittany Goodwin and husband, Robert; four grandchildren, Cameron Hoffman, Abigail Hoffman, Brody Goodwin, and Nathan Bennett; mother, Bernice Bennett; two siblings, Judy Alley and Billy Bennett; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Swift Creek Baptist Church 18510 Branders Bridge Road, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with the Reverend Dr. Steve Felker officiating. Interment was Private. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
