Clyde Davis

Clyde H. Davis, 75, of Chester passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 at his residence. Born on April 6, 1941, he was the son of the late William E. and Leona H. Davis, and was also preceded in death by his son, Rick C. Davis; and brothers, Paul W. Davis and William E. Davis. Mr. Davis was a United States Navy veteran, having served on the Shangri La aircraft carrier during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After many years of dedicated service, he retired from Columbia Gas as a Service Technician. Clyde enjoyed fishing, doing various handyman work around the house, and loved spending his retirement with his Hardees crew every morning. He was someone you could count on to be there when he was needed most and was such a great friend to everyone he met. He is survived by his daughter, Debora Fowler and husband, William; sons, Brian E. Davis and wife, Sandra, Timothy W. Davis and wife, Amy; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Adelia Grammer; and numerous extended family members. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Chaplain Steve Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday night, November 21, 2016 at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com
