Clyde W. Kinton, 85, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at his residence. Born in Richmond, he was the son of the late Bud W. and Ruby Walker Kinton, and was preceded in death by a son, David Walton Kinton and a brother, Gene Kinton. Mr. Kinton was a former member of Waverly Baptist Church, and United States Navy veteran having served during World War II. He was a retired Receiving Clerk with Solar Optical U.S.A. He is survived by his wife, Ella Frances Kinton; sons, Clyde Wayne Kinton and wife, Ginger of Powhatan and Danny Lee Kinton and wife, Elizabeth of Danville; daughters, Brenda Dunn and husband, John of Chesterfield, Linda Willet of Dinwiddie, Teresa Hammond and husband, Rocky of Colonial Heights, Janice Truman and husband, Kevin of Prince George; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Kitty Hancock of Wakefield; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
