Clyde Lipford

Clyde Obey Lipford, 90, of Matoaca, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lipford was the son of the late Grayson Sr. and Fannie Moore Lipford; and was also preceded in death by a son, Ted Lee Lipford. Mr. Lipford was a United States Navy veteran and had retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Co. as a technician. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Elizabeth Lipford; one son, Donald Obey Lipford and wife, Betty Thomas; a daughter, Diane Lipford Dawson and husband, Michael Steven; five grandchildren, Susan, Timothy, Christopher, Melissa and Josh; four great-grandchildren, Dasha, Charlie, Sabastian and Tristen; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. The family is being served by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
