Clyde Martin

Clyde Wayne Martin, 72, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at his residence. He was the son of the late Floyd W. and Willie Hester Davidson Martin. Mr. Martin retired as a Sales Associate for Sears Department Store, was an avid golfer, and loved playing bluegrass music. He is survived by his wife, Margaret E. Martin; a daughter, Laura M. Terry and husband, William of Dinwiddie, a son, Clyde W. (Marty) Martin II of Dinwiddie; devoted niece, Torrie Tyler and husband, Terry of Colonial Heights; three grandchildren, Monica, Eric, and Megan; three great-grandsons, Brandon, Shane, and Nathan; and two sisters, Shirley M. Woods, and Gayle M. Carter both of Appomattox. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S.
