Clyde May Sr.

Clyde Edward May Sr., 89, of Prince George died Monday, February 6, 2012 in Southside Regional Medical Center. Mr. May was the son of the late John C. and Dorothy Sheesly May and was predeceased by his wife, Lilly Montgomery May; daughter, Brenda May Gordon; a son-in-law, Gilbert E. Hanzlik Sr., four sister in-laws, and six brother in-laws. Mr. May was a retired Building Inspector for Prince George County and member of the V.F.W. and Prince George Masonic Lodge #115. Survivors include his daughter, Anne M. Hanzlik of Prince George; son, Clyde Edward May Jr. and wife, Diane of Winston Salem, North Carolina; grandchildren, Lt. Col. Ret. Gilbert E. Hanzlik, Jr. and wife, Stephanie, Michael T. Hanzlik and wife, Karen, Beverly G. Honaker and husband, Steve, Christopher H. Gordon and wife, Tamara; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, John C. May Jr. of Covington, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road. Funeral service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Super Kids Ministry, P. O.
