Collin Elmore Sr.

Collin Eldred Elmore Sr., 81, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at John Randolph Medical Center. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Collin B. and Gracie Callis Elmore, and the widower of Dolores Daly "Dee Dee" Elmore. He was a member of Crowder Hunt Club, Dinwiddie and the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his children, Collin E. Elmore Jr. of Colonial Heights, Katherine "Gail" Stilson and husband, Scott R. of North Carolina, Stephen Mark Elmore and wife, Karen of Colonial Heights, and Mike L. Elmore and wife, Christine E. of Colonial Heights; thirteen grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Vaughan of Chesterfield; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with Bishop Warren Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
