Connie G. Cooper, 87, of Petersburg, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. Gluck Sr. and Corinne Conner Gluck, and was preceded in death by two sons, Wylie (Rusty) Cooper Jr. and Alan Marshall Cooper, and a brother Joseph Robert Gluck, Jr. She attended Girls' High in Atlanta. Mrs. Cooper was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and retired in 1989 as a Secretary from Prince George High School. She was a loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves and proud to have attended the celebration of the premier of Gone with the Wind. She loved gardening, cooking, a glass of wine, good food and great times with family and friends. She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Corinne Cooper of Prince George; a granddaughter, Racheal Lindsey Cooper of Richmond; two nephews, Joseph Robert (Jody) Gluck III of Cumberland, Kentucky and John Gregory Gluck and wife, Becky of Lynch, Kentucky; a niece, Nancy Gluck Windler and husband, R. J. of Floyds Knob, Indiana; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and her Scottish Terrier, Lucky. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Trinity United Methodist, 215 S. Sycamore Street, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 with Dr. Gerald Miller officiating. Interment private. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
