Constance F. "Connie" James, 79, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late John and Nanny Grubb Fralin, and the widow of Carlton Matthew James. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Petersburg, and a Retired Secretary with Dodson Brothers Exterminating Company. She is survived by a daughter, Carla Hamm and husband, Dennis of Hopewell; loving companion of 30 years, Brian Bagwell of Colonial Heights; grandson, Ryan Boothe and wife, Tammy of DeWitt; great-grandchildren, R.J. and Caitlin; sister, Vale Dulaney of Roanoke; niece, Wanda Huff and husband, Dorsey of Roanoke; her caring friends & customers from Dodson Bothers, and her faithful, loving dog, Cyan. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.
