Corinna Constance Pearce Reese, 89, Colonial Heights, died peacefully on October 25, 2008 at home. Mrs. Reese was born in Halifax County, North Carolina, but spent her life as a homemaker and surrounded by family in Petersburg and Colonial Heights. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Raymond Reese, her mother and father Annie Vivian and John Pearce and all her siblings. She is survived by six children and their spouses, four daughters, Juanita R. Wells, of Atlanta, Ga., Carole R. Taylor of Richmond, Sandra R. Blaha and husband John of Colonial Heights, P. Kaye Kennedy and husband Louis, of Chesterfield, two sons David Raymond Reese, Jr. and wife Brenda of Dinwiddie and Ronald G. Reese of Gulf Breeze, Fla. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, Berkely Taylor-Allen and husband Larry of Hanover, Rob Taylor and fiancée Carter Berkeley of Hanover, Maryland, Scott Wells and wife Betsy of Atlanta, Ga., David Raymond Reese III and wife Brandi of Dinwiddie, Mary Kathryn (Katie) Reese of Chesterfield, Caitlin and Matt Reese of Richmond, Joshua Fannin and wife Candace of Prince George and Peyton Fannin of Richmond. Her step grandchildren include Catherine Blaha and fiancé Jimmy Pelton of Colonial Heights, Brittany Kennedy of Midlothian, Brock Kennedy and wife Amy of Jacksonville, NC and Blake Kennedy of Chesterfield. She also has two great grandchildren Corbin and Carson Allen of Hanover and one great step-grandchild Matthew Gauldin of Prince George. Mrs. Reese was also blessed by two loving and caring caregivers that remained by her side Mrs. Rhyvan Gilliam and Mrs. Florence Whittaker. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends at the home of Lou and Kaye Kennedy, Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. Flowers are welcome, but donations may be made to Hospice of Virginia, 7231 Forest Avenue, Richmond in lieu of flowers The Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
