Craig Shauger

Craig Andrew Shauger, 55, of Colonial Heights, formerly of Belmar, New Jersey, passed away Tuesday May 26, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Augustas Shauger Jr., a sister Linda Anne Shauger, and a niece Amanda Lorriane Shauger. Craig was a retired construction worker, an avid hunter and fisherman, and was in the National Guard. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Anne Shauger, children, Cassandra Homme, Kara and Kathleen Bratton, grandchildren, Jacob and Ella, brothers, Keith Allan Shauger, Steven Adam Shauger, James A. Shauger, Paul Avery Shauger, sister, Jennifer Anne Lail, and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday May 28, 2015 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dr. Andy Brockelman officiating. A graveside service will be held 12:00 Noon Friday May 29, 2015 in Spring Hill Cemetery, 3000 Fort Avenue, Lynchburg, Virginia 24501. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday May 28, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Missions Fund 3110 Greenwood Ave, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, or to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
