Curtis Vinson

August 28, 1929 — July 17, 2015

Curtis Wade Vinson, 85, of Chesterfield, passed away on Friday July 17, 2015 at his residence. He was the son of the late Henry and Mary Davis Vinson. Mr. Vinson was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and retired Grounds Foreman at John Tyler Community College. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Beverly Gibbs Vinson; daughters Linda Ann Moore and husband, Bill of Chesterfield and Vicki L. Taylor of Colonial Heights; son, Ricky L. Taylor and wife, Dawn of Chester; grandchildren, Thomas, Samantha, Casey and Autumn; great grandchildren, Gracie, Christian and Patrick. A special thanks to the staff of Southside Regional Medical Center and Crater Community Hospice for their kind and exceptional care. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at City Point National Cemetery, 10th Ave & Davis Street, Hopewell, VA 23860. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Central Virginia Chapter, 4200 Innslake Drive, Suite 301, Glen Allen, VA 23060 or the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
