Dana Marie (Ahern) Hawkins 38, of Matoaca, VA departed this life on Thursday, March 14, 2019. She was preceded in death by grandfather Donald R. Evans, Sr., Oakland, MD; father Kenny R. Ahern, Winchester, VA and cousin Devin S. Harvey, Farmington, WV. Dana was a 1998 graduate of Matoaca High School. Dana is survived by her mother Deborah A. (Evans) Smith and step father John Timothy Smith, Sr., Matoaca, VA; sister, Amanda L. Ahern, Matoaca, VA brother, Brandon D. Ridout, Matoaca, VA; ; step sister Sandy (Smith) Lambert & husband Jack, McKenney, VA; step brother, John Timothy Smith, Jr., Matoaca, VA; daughter, Kayla A. Hawkins, sons, Jaden N. Hawkins and Wyatt J. Hawkins and their father Nicholas Hawkins; step daughter McKenzie Duffy grandmother Marjorie M. (Evans) DiClementi, Oakland, MD; grandparents Donald Ahern Sr., & Donna J. Ahern, Oakland, MD; mother in law, Rhonda Crowder; sister in law Miranda (Mizzell) Wolfery & husband, Travis; brothers in law Michael Crowder and Patrick Daniels all of Prince George, VA; Aunts and Uncles: Donald R. Evans, Jr. & wife Jill, Accident, MD; Theresa M. (Evans) Niner & husband Richard, Yorktown, VA; Brenda L (Evans) Kerns & husband Robert, Mannington, WV; Jay A. Harvey & wife Vicky, Kitzmiller, MD; William "Bo" Butler, Oakland, MD; Donald Ahern, Jr., Oakland, MD; Rick Ahern and wife Cindy, Oakland, MD; George Ahern & wife Becky, Oakland, MD; Jane Lucas & husband Terry, Kitzmiller, MD; and former step-father, Ricky D. Ridout, of Matoaca, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Dana was a fiercely independent person and always willing to go the extra mile for those in her life. She loved her family more than anything. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Interment will follow in East Matoaca Cemetery, Matoaca, Virginia.
