Daniel Barefoot

Daniel Eugene Barefoot, 63, of Prince George, VA passed away on November 21, 2016 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Dayton, OH he was the son of the late Dale Eugene and Agnes Josephine Schulze Barefoot. Mr. Barefoot retired from the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer with 21 years of service. He also retired from the Defense Commissary Agency Headquarters on Fort Lee from the Facility Maintenance Department. Daniel loved to cruise, especially on Princess Cruise Lines, which was evident from his 16 cruises. Mr. Barefoot was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Lee Barefoot of Prince George; two daughters, Heather Lynne Klinger (Gregory Ryan Allen) of Springboro, OH and Jennifer Lee Soldner (Jason) of Virginia; two grandchildren, Jessica Leigh and Hudson Cole Klinger; three sisters, Constance Barefoot, Kathleen Minkner (Bruce) and Gail Fry; one brother, Douglas Barefoot (Cecilia); and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, with the Reverend David Prather, officiating. Interment will be private.
