Daniel "Danny" W. Hardin

Daniel “Danny” W. Hardin, 81, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. Born in Illinois on August 30, 1943, he was the son of the late George Elmer Hardin and Sarah Anna Isabella Stubbs Hardin. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ledas, John, Jim, and Ted Hardin; his nephews, George and Wes Hardin; and beloved grand-dog, Cuddles.

Danny dedicated 21 years working for Dominion Energy as a lead lineman. A man of many talents, Danny was a passionate car enthusiast, particularly of Ford vehicles. He enjoyed restoring and working on them, as well as motorcycles. He found solace in the outdoors, often seen tending to his landscaping projects in his signature straw hat. 

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Hardin Dice; son-in-law, Gary Dice; ex-wife, Bunny Hardin; grandchildren, Edward, Tiffany, and Chase Dice; great-grandson, Milo Ramos-Dice; sister, Kay Jarratt; sister-in-law, Karla Hardin; niece, Kathy Hardin; and nephews, Ronnie and Terry Hardin.

Interment will be private. Arrangements are by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes.
