Daniel Fischer

LTC. Daniel J. Fischer, U.S Army Retired, 83, died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at MCV Hospital Richmond. He was a native of Pennsylvania and the son of the late Jules and Mary Fischer. LTC. Fischer was a member of the Colonial Heights Rotary Club and the Cardinal Golf Course at Ft. Lee. LTC. Fischer is survived by his wife, Sherry R. Fischer; two daughters, Cathleen H. Meyer and husband, James of Chesterfield, Mariclare Lichvar and husband, Gary of Maryland and a son, Joseph D. Fischer of Colonial Heights, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; three step children, Bill Ritz and wife, Louise of Centerville, Rob Ritz and wife, Wendy of Georgia and Susan Mc Murtry of King George; eleven step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at St Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with Father Lou Ruoff as Celebrant. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the Mass. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
