Daniel Ronald Lave, 64, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at his residence. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late William Frank and Cornelia Meyers Lave. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Lave retired from Philip Morris with 23 years of service, and worked for the Colonial Heights Sheriff's Office for three years. He was a Lieutenant in the Colonial Heights Auxiliary Police for 15 years. He is survived by his wife, Linda Isham Lave; a daughter, Darlene Lave Richey and husband, Kevin; a sister, Jeanette Lave Snead and husband, Lindsey of Petersburg; a brother, Willard Lave and wife, Vivian of Charlottesville; two granddaughters, Abigail and Elyse Richey of Colonial Heights; a brother-in-law, Charles Isham of California; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010 in Highland United Methodist Church, 125 E. Westover Avenue, Colonial Heights with the Reverend Keith Ritchie officiating.
