Danny Babb Sr.

Danny Eugene Babb Sr., 68, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at his residence. He was the son of the late Walter W. and Margaret Strange Babb, and was preceded in death by a brother, Walter W. Babb II; and a sister, Deborah K. Babb. Mr. Babb was currently employed as a Manager with the Process Welding Piping Company. Danny was most proud of his sons and being a grandpa. He enjoyed playing golf with his buddies at Lake Gaston, and going to Myrtle Beach. He will be missed by all including his loving pets, Molli, Maddi, and Maxi. He is survived by his wife, Dinah Scott Babb; sons, Danny E. "Gene" Babb Jr. of Suffolk and Travis Lee Babb and wife, Shelia of New Kent; four grandchildren, Kristen, Tara, Ty and Amy; a brother, Charles M. Babb and wife, Donna of Newport News; a sister, Jenny Everett and husband, Chris of Goldsboro, North Carolina; and numerous nieces & nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014 at Kenwood United Methodist Church, 25200 Ritchie Avenue, N. Dinwiddie, Virginia 23803 with Pastor Mary Dadisman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
