Darlene Saxton

Darlene H. Saxton, 87, of Colonial Heights, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021. She was born in Boise, Idaho on April 18, 1934 to the late Howard and Opal Baldwin and was preceded in death by her son, Michael Howard Saxton.

Mrs. Saxton loved flowers and gardening, but above all loved her family. She was a dedicated mother and wife, taking care of her family while her husband served in the military from 1954 to 1984.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Michael Lawrence Saxton; children, Kristi Dedad and Patti Egnor (Cliff); grandchildren, Mike Hackley (Brittany), Jennifer Carter (Josh), Kevin Dedad, and Jonathan Hackley (Harley); three great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Baldwin; and numerous extended family members.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, Virginia 23805. The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
