Darren Joseph Ravis, 51, of Prince George, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015. He was born March 14, 1964 and was preceded in death by his father, John Raymond Ravis Sr. and a sister, Christy Rebecca Ravis. Darren was a United States Army Veteran and an ordained minister. He loved his family, was an amateur ham radio operator; and was an avid fossil hunter; he even donated some of his findings to local area museums. Darren is survived by his mother, Phyllis Pilout, sister, Rhonda Crowder; brother, John Raymond Ravis Jr.; longtime companion, Jeanette Dillenbeck; step-brothers, Joseph and James Pilout; step-children, Vincent and Caitlin Dillenbeck; niece, Miranda and husband, Travis; nephews, Nick, Michael, Patrick, Joseph, Zachary and Colton. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Chris Jenkins officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the funeral home.
