David Edwards

David Michael Edwards, 77 of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.  He was born in Riverside, California to the late David Lee Edwards and Rena Mae Hedgepeth Edwards.  He was also preceded in death by his wife Sarah Louise Edwards.  Michael is survived by a sister and caregiver, Edith Dawson; a niece Betsy Lynn Harrison (Rex); two great-nephews, Christopher Carr and Alexander Carr; two great-great-nephews, Darrell Carr and Aaron Carr; a great-great-niece, Everly Carr; and special caregivers, Doris Eanes and Tabitha Holmes.  Michael served in the United States Air Force, where he was a veteran of the Vietnam War.  He belonged to the third order of the eagles and the American Legion Post 284.  He worked for many years as a security guard at Honeywell.  Michael also worked for many years at Little’s convenient stores.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in the mausoleum at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S.
