David Jerrell

David T. Jerrell, 64, of Dinwiddie County, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2009 at his residence. He was the son of the late Robert S. Jerrell Jr. and Ann Gorsline Jerrell. He was a retired veteran with the United States Navy. He was a member of Dinwiddie Baptist Church. Mr. Jerrell retired from IBM with over 25 years of service, and worked for Chesterfield County in the Information Technology Department. He was an avid outdoorsman, a member of the Sure Shot Hunt Club, and the Daylily Society. He is survived by his wife, Frieda Jerrell; two daughters, Eleanor Jerrell, and Lisa Barker; a son, Robert Jerrell; three step-daughters, Joy Greth, Samantha Zimmerman, and Jill Allen; sixteen grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ann Majors of Claremont; and an aunt, Catherine Gorsline of Richmond. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 in Dinwiddie Baptist Church, 14818 Wilkinson Road, DeWitt, Virginia 23840. Interment private. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
