David Jones Sr.

David G. Jones, Sr., age 80, of Chester, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at his residence. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for over fifty-one years and a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local #147. Survivors include his wife, Margaret E. Jones; son, David G. Jones, Jr. and wife, Lu Ann S. of Midlothian; daughter, Jan J. Golding and husband, Curtis V.; grandchildren, Cheryl and Sarah Jones, Matthew Golding and wife, Jayne, Jeremy Golding and wife, Mariea, Kendall Golding; great grandson, Michael David Golding; brothers, Garnett and Jim Jones; sister, Alease Cage and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Monday 1:00 p.m., April 28, 2008, at the Colonial Heights chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Rev. David Prather and the Rev. Fred Adkins officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon 3-4:30 p.m.
