Rev. David Mosley, passed out of this life on April 22, 2012 at his home in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, after a 3-year battle with colon cancer. The son of the late Samuel Mosley and Anne Browning Mosley, he grew up in the Elm Street Baptist Church where he was the president of the youth group and was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 1984. After attending college and seminary in Kentucky, he was a Baptist Pastor for nearly 25 years in Indiana, retiring in 2006. David leaves behind his wife, Julie Ann Torrens of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; two sons, Michael Mosley of Oxnard, California and Timothy Mosley of Warren, Ohio; a step-son, Andrew Vorce of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; his brother, Dana Mosley of Davenport, Florida; an uncle, Freeman Browning Jr. of Carson, Virginia; six aunts, Sandra Browning and Irene Trogdon of Carson, Helen Wilkerson of Keysville, Ruth Thompson of Dinwiddie, Amy Sigmon and Kelli Howell of Tennessee; and several cousins in Virginia and Texas. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 in Monumental Baptist Church, 2925 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia, 23805 with the Reverend Barry Ginn and the Reverend Martin Dorgan officiating. Interment Blandford Cemetery Petersburg, Virginia.
