David Traylor

David Lee Traylor, 78, of South Chesterfield, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022. He was born in Petersburg on May 30, 1943 to the late Lee and Helen Traylor. Mr. Traylor served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was retired from Brenco. He was a former president of the Iris Society and was an avid gardener. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Catherine Traylor; son, David Matthew Traylor; and son-in-law, Joseph Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Traylor; sisters, Brenda Lightcap (Bill), Cheryl Traylor, and Crystal Traylor; nieces and nephews, Christopher Giannini (Dana), Jonathan Lightcap (Stephanie), Heather Angelis (Evan), Ben Ragland, Jourdan Blanchard, Timothy Ragland, and Tyler Ragland; goddaughters, Adrienne Cooper, Angela Jones, and Delphine Seckman; and numerous extended family members. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W.  Hundred Road, Chester, Virginia 23831.
