Dawn Harris

Dawn Marie Harris, 54, of Chester passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Born January 29, 1967, she was the daughter of the late James Lewis and Loretta Jean Clark, and was also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Ann Joseph and Jeanie Goble; and brother, Franklin Goble. Dawn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 20 years. For 19 years, Dawn was a bus driver for Chesterfield County Public Schools and before that, served her community as a Chesterfield County Police Officer. She absolutely adored her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James Randolph Harris; daughters, Samantha Marie Fleek and husband, Wesley, Autumn Leigh Taylor; stepdaughter, Arabella Marie Harris; two grandsons, Patrick Ryan Fleek and Gideon Mason Fleek; two sisters, Lillian Randall and husband, Samuel, Sr., Jane Dragonette; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends.

A memorial service will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Swift Creek Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 501 Compton Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Face masks will be required at church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory.
