Debra Allen

Debra Kay Allen, 51, of Colonial Heights, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Frank Steele and Grace Mae Wren Newberry. Debra was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and a manager at Dots Fashion Store. She is survived by her husband, James D. Allen Sr.; daughters Jessica L. Allen and companion, Dale Cawthon, Vanessa J. Allen, and Mary E. Allen and companion, Frank Underwood; son James D. Allen Jr.; grandchildren Lauren, Lillian, Brandon and Landon all of Colonial Heights; sisters Diane L. Troy of Williamsport, PA, Tammie L. Newberry of Muncy, PA. and Linda A. Tawney of McLeansville, NC. ; numerous nieces and nephews; mother in-law Elizabeth Joyce. Allen of Colonial Heights; brother in-law Robert W. Allen and wife Ann Marie of Colonial Heights; sister in-law Margaret A. Howell and husband R.D. Howell of Danville. A funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday July 3, 2012 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard. Interment private. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
