Delores Wood

Delores Poole Wood, 50, of Chester, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Emmett L. Poole. Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband, Robert A. Wood, Jr.; three daughters, Crystal A. Thompson of Colonial Heights, Lisa Marie Wood of Greenville, North Carolina, and Lindsey Nicole Wood of Chester; grandchildren, Sean Mikel and Kayla Meredith Wood, Hunter, Blake, Tyler and Dylan Thompson; mother, Vera "Polly" Grubbs Poole of Colonial Heights; three sisters, Barbara Durley of Colonial Heights, Peggy Johnson of Waverly, and Debbie Archer of Petersburg. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
