Dennis Farmer

Dennis Patrick Farmer, 59, of Chester, Virginia, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was born June 21, 1957 in Livonia, Michigan to the late Michael Edward Farmer and Therese Diane Lyons Farmer. Dennis was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, the 7th Virginia Regiment of the Continental Line, and the American Revolutionary Round Table of Richmond. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carol Anne Farmer; sister, Kathleen Mary Farmer of Chesterfield; sisters-in-law, Susan Fleming and husband, Ralph of Monroe, Michigan, Kathy J. Heatherly of Monroe, Michigan, and Mary L. Heatherly of Ypsilanti, Michigan; brother-in-law, George W. Heatherly of Lorain, Ohio; nephews, David Fleming and wife, Abby of Canton, Michigan, and Patrick Farmer and Fiancé, Denise of Richmond; nieces, Erin Horkey and husband, Doug of Dundee, Michigan, and Mariea S. Pulver and Fiancé, Austin of Chesterfield; five grandnephews, Henry, Michael, Isaac, Gavin, and Finn; four grandnieces, Emma, Grace, Evalynn, and Natalie. A Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway South Chesterfield, Virginia 23834, with Father Danny Cogut as Celebrant. Committal services will be Private. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Dennis to your favorite charity.
