Dennis Harrup Sr.

Dennis Floyd Harrup Sr., 85, of Matoaca, Virginia died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at his sons; residence. He was the son of the late Edgar Floyd and Mary Ann Ferguson Harrup. Mr. Harrup was a W.W.II United States Army Air Corp Veteran, member of Waverly Hunt Club and was a retired Purchasing Agent for Honeywell. Mr. Harrup is survived by his wife of 68 years Lorraine Davis Harrup; son, Dennis F. Harrup Jr. and devoted daughter in law Brenda of Chesterfield; one grandson, Dennis F. (Chip) Harrup III of Prince George; two great grandchildren, Kathryn Jean Harrup and Dennis F. Harrup IV., both of Fort Wayne Indiana; sister, Betty Cooke of Dendron, Virginia; many loving nieces, nephews and a special friend, Marly Fieldhouse. A funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Richard Geoghegan officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
