Dixon Henry Lee, 77 of Petersburg, passed away to be with The Lord, Tuesday, December 8, 2020. He was born in Lumberton, North Carolina to the late Leon and Francis Mayes Lee. Dixon is also preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Joyce D. Lee; a son, Joe Lee; a sister Myrtle Rose Stevens. He is survived by four children, Janet Weaver (Lloyd), Gayle Mathis, Rhonda Granja (Carl), and Jerry Baker; 11 grandchildren, Nicole Tant (Steven), Jackie Kruse (Michael), James Mathis, Jerry Baker, Jeffery Baker, Starr Lee Caldwell (Kalebe), Michael Mathis, Michael Trivette, Marcie Trivette, Karsten Granja, and Keaton Granja; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Lee Stephenson ; brother, Bobby Lee; and niece, Stacey Faille (Richard), Rose Brown (Jerry), Verna Chester, Taral Stevens, Sherry Stevens, Paula Lee, and Ronnie Lee. Dixon retired after 40 years from Ashland, formerly known as Hercules. He ran Putt Putt Golf for 25 years in Petersburg. Dixon will always be remembered for his contagious laughter and will be missed by all those who knew him. His remains will rest from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2020 at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 3935 S. Crater Road. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2020 at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road. Condolences may be registered at ealvinsmall.com
