Dolores Puckett Riggins, 78, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Colonial Heights Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Colonial Heights, she was the son of the late, Herbert C. and Mary E. Puckett, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Riggins and son, Steven Lewis Riggins. Mrs. Riggins was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, the National Association of Women in Cunstruction (NAWIC), Tri-City CB Club, and was a den mother for the Cub Scouts. She worked as manager for Riverside Glass in Colonial Heights for 34 years and later became co-owner of Waverly Glass for 6 years. She is survived by her children, Charles Edward Riggins of Colonial Heights, Gayle Lynn Braswell and husband, Fletcher of Colonial Heights and Brian Lee Riggins and wife, Jeanie of Drewyville, Virginia; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Lewis Wayne Riggins and wife, Sandra of Colonial Heights; two nephews; two very special cousins, Joyce Owens and husband, Joe, and Gayle Lee Beville and wife, Rose Marie; her best friend, Gloria Bailey and husband, James; and a special caregiver, Cecelia (C.C.) Brown. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Moose Lodge, 170 Moose Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
