Donald Cousins Sr.

Donald Earl Cousins Sr., 77, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 surrounded by family at his home. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Effie Baldwin Cousins, and was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Eubank & Rosa Mae Simpson, and brothers, Willie Clifton Cousins II & Charles Randolph Cousins Jr. Mr. Cousins was a member of Highland United Methodist Church, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and was a retired Electrician with DuPont. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Walker Cousins; children, Dennis L. Cousins of Colonial Heights, Donna Cousins Lundie and husband, Donald of Colonial Heights, Donald Earl Cousins Jr. and wife, Joan of Dinwiddie, and Kelly Cousins Wiles and fiancé Brian Smith of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, Jesse & Ryan Cousins, James Thomas Fitzke, Victoria Lundie, Samantha Wiles, Alexandra Lundie, Alyssa Wiles, and Hallie Wiles, Kyle Lundie, Megan Sheets; great-grandchildren, Lisa Marie Johnson and Dillan Lee Cousins; a sister, Delores C. Redmond and husband, Thad of Colonial Heights; a brother, Vernon Lee Cousins and wife, Roxie of Chester. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dwayne Walker officiating. Interment private.
