Donald Gaskin Sr.

Donald Stewart Gaskin Sr., 76, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, September 23rd, at the McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Gable Arthur Jr. and Bessie Stewart Gaskin. Mr. Gaskin, a U.S. Navy Veteran, had retired from both ICI and DuPont, and was a member of The Church of The Nazarene in Colonial Heights. He is survived by his loving wife Gail Gaskin of 53 years; daughter Kristin L. Gaskin of Colonial Heights; three sons, Donald Stewart Gaskin Jr and wife Ursula of St Augustine, FL, Derek A. Gaskin and wife Beth of Colonial Heights, and Gary M. Gaskin and wife Claire of Denver, CO; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Ash, Nick, Andrew, Kyle, Emily, Finn, and Arthur; and a brother, Tony Leopard, of Greenwood, SC. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Church of the Nazarene, 601 Ellerslie Ave, Colonial Heights with Pastor Michael Lamphire officiating.
