Donald Pitchford

Donald Thomas "Tom" Pitchford, 73, of Carson passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018. Born in Newport News, on June 16, 1945, he was the son of the late Sidney T. and Ethel Bryant Pitchford. Tom was a United States Army veteran and retired from Civil Service with the Army Corps of Engineers at Fort Lee. He is survived by his wife, Lynda Pitchford; two daughters, Kristi Ethridge and Sharon Heins (Kyle) all of Colonial Heights; six grandchildren, Alex O'Connor, Zach York, Mady O'Connor, Aiden O'Connor, Cameron Kelly and Lizzy Ethridge; beloved step-mother, Becky Pitchford; a brother, Bobby Pitchford; a sister, Carolyn Gillikin and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
