Donna Nadine Winningham, 85, loving mother of four and devoted Grammy to five generations, entered the gates of Heaven on February 4, 2022. She reunited with her late parents, David and Twila Hoch alongside her six siblings. Donna was born April 4, 1936, in her home state of Pennsylvania. She was born into a large family that was the foundation of her legacy. She was well known within both her community and career. Donna never knew a stranger and greeted everyone with the kindest smile and a warm heart. She has left a lasting impression upon anyone whom she came in contact with. After dedicating over forty years as a nurse, Donna retired from McGuire Veterans Hospital. She loved sitting by the water where she could fish, spending time with her beloved dogs, and family gatherings. Left to cherish her memories: daughters, Barbara Cappiali and Bobbi Smith; sons, William Scott, and Timothy Scott; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren. Her soul will continue living through all her friends and family. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with Reverend David Prather officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences and flowers may be sent via www.ealvinsmall.com
